Twins

Large families were common in early Brigham City though one family built up their posterity rather quickly. Gerhardt Jensen and his wife Else Marie Christiansen had 3 children reach adulthood, a son and twin daughters. The twin daughters (Maria Hadave Jensen Bott and Gehardena Jensen Forsgren) each bore 17 children, 10 boys and 7 girls (though not all the children made it to adulthood.). Their older brother, Brigham Jensen, had 9 children with his first wife (who died) and then had 9 children with his second wife. This gave Gerhardt and Else with 52 grandchildren from their 3 children. In the included newspaper article, Brigham had another child after the article was written.

One interesting tidbit- Danny Fujikawa, a musician, voice actor and the fiancee of actress Kate Hudson, is a descendant of John H. Bott and Maria Hadave Jensen through their first son (John Henry Bott, Jr.) https://ethnicelebs.com/danny-fujikawa#google_vignette
