Hidden History: 333 North Main

333 North Main has been home to many businesses throughout the years. One thing that has remained is the roof of an early building- surrounded by newer construction (see pics). In 1929, the address of 331 N Main was noted as the home of Charles Cheal, a deputy sheriff in 1913.

The building appears to have started as a business in 1938 as "Joe's Sales & Service" under the management of Joe C. Nielsen.

The name was changed to Nielsen Motor Company shortly thereafter.

Since that time, it has been the home of businesses including that of Perc Petersen and Petersen Auto Exchange (1955), Gleen Greenhalgh and Greenhalgh Motor (1955), Speed-Wash (1960), and George Hacking with Speed Queen Laundry (1970) and George's OK Tires.
