Series on Lorenzo Snow's homes in Brigham City "Minnnie's Palace"

Updated: Jan 21

Lorenzo Snow's last wife, Sarah Ephramina Jensen "Minnie," is my great-great grandaunt. She was born in Brigham City in 1855 and lived here until moving with Lorenzo Snow to Salt Lake City when he became SLC Temple president (prior to becoming church president). Together, they had 5 children with the youngest passing away in 1976.

After their marriage, Minnie lived in the "Big House" until Lorenzo Snow built her the "brick house," that people referred to as "Minnie's Palace," on the north west corner of his homestead in the center of town. The home was owned by many people through the years including Lucius A. Snow, James Knudsen, Henry M. Bowring, Rudolph Kaiser, Louie B. Call, E. M. Sackett, and Judge Lewis H. Jones. Its last use was for storage and plumbing supplies.

I don't know of any photographs that show it in its original state but would love to see some if you have it. Included are photos of it through the years.
