Mary Ellen Jensen “Ella,”

A fascinating event in Brigham City history occurred in March, 1891. Mary Ellen Jensen “Ella,” as she was called, was called back to life by Lorenzo Snow and Rudger Clawson after dying of an illness. Included are two links to articles about the event for those interested in reading her story. Ella was living with her parents, Jacob Peter Jensen and Mary Althea Wight in their home near the present location of Burger King on about 1000 South Main Street. Ella’s sister Maggie Jensen (Lee) is my great grandmother.

This home stood near 1000 S. Main Street in Brigham City. A portion of the mountain where the "I" is now painted gives the location. The event was noted to have occurred in the room on the right.
