Northeast corner of 100 East and Forest
A home was built on this corner by Abraham Hunsaker. It later was purchased by C.H. Davis (1860-1946) and became known as the “Davis Rooming House" and also the "City Hotel." The hotel had various proprietors and, sometime in 1892, it was leased by two individuals from Ogden. This proved short-lived and others took their place. A public telephone was installed here in 1895 but was moved to another location in 1897.
It is reported that a person lodging at the hotel painted the picture included. The Livery and Feed Stable was eventually replaced by the MIA Library, with tower removed, and used as a home by the Andersons. The area was razed and a professional center currently occupies the location.
